Aretha Franklin: Ready to Say "I Do"
It sure sounds like this year will be better than her last, as it was just announced that Aretha Franklin will be tying the knot!
The “Respect” singer is engaged to be married to her “forever friend” William “Willie” Wilkerson - as the nuptials reportedly will occur sometime in June or July aboard a private yacht in Miami Beach, FL.
“Ms. Franklin is considering Donna Karan, Valentino and the queen of wedding dresses, Vera Wang, to design her gown,” Aretha’s rep said in a statement.
The icon lost 85 pounds last year after a health scare, in which she still remains mum about, but has since recovered and says that she feels “fabulous.”
