Karina Smirnoff Bowls Her Way Into 2012
She's less than a month removed from calling off her engagement to baseball player Brad Penny, but that didn't stop Karina Smirnoff from partaking in the New Year's Eve festivities in New York City last night (December 31).
The "Dancing with the Stars" darling sparkled in silver as she joined a packed house in ringing in 2012 at the Joonbug's End of the Year Bash at Bowlmor Lanes Times Square.
Joining up with "Karate Kid" actor Ralph Macchio at the festive affair, Ms. Smirnoff sipped on drinks before taking to the lanes to do a little bowling – during which time she appeared to struggle with her balance before quickly catching herself and rolling the ball towards the pins.
The NYE night out in NYC comes as Karina has been named as the most searched for DWTS pro over the course of 2011.
Smirnoff, who celebrates her 34th birthday on Monday (January 2), beat out second-place finisher Derek Hough by a slim margin with Mark Ballas, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Lacey Schwimmer rounding out the top five.
